A small to medium fruit, but the best tasting mango. The pulp is very sweet, yellow to orange in color, and very scant fiber. The taste somewhat resembles the Alphonse, but much better and highly aromatic. The fruit very much resembles the Kesar from India. The leaves resemble Kesar leaves as well. Which suggest that it is most likely a seedling of Kesar. Though the fruit is a little bigger in size. has a better taste and more aromatic.
Unlike the Kesar tree, which is a low to medium tree with a spreading canopy, Taimoor tree is slender and tall, 10 to 15 meters high and 4 to 5 meters wide. Fruits ripen in late June to early July.
