This mango is from Egypt and literally means ‘Indian with a beak’. The fruit are small in size, oval-oblong with a small beak. They often stay green at maturity but can turn a light yellow. The flesh is fiberless, rich and sweet with a syrupy sweet floral flavor somewhat comparable to a Thai mango despite speculated to be of Indian origin. The trees are good producers and relatively anthracnose resistant. They are somewhat vigorous growers and have long internodes between the leaves. Hindi Bessennara is an early season variety.
